There is no feasible method to determine the molecular weight of FEP Extrusion Pellet. But the melt viscosity of FEP Extrusion Pellet at 380 ℃ is lower than that of PTFE Resin (103-104Pa. S). It can be seen that the molecular weight of FEP Extrusion Pellet is much lower than that of PTFE. The melting point of FEP Extrusion Pellet varies with the composition of the copolymer. The melting point of FEP Extrusion Pellet decreases with the increase of hexafluoropropylene content. According to the results obtained by differential thermal analysis, the melting point of domestic FEP Extrusion Pellet is between 250 ℃ and 270 ℃, which is lower than that of PTFE Resin. FEP Extrusion Pellet is a kind of crystalline polymer, and its crystallinity is lower than that of PTFE. When the melt of FEP Extrusion Pellet slowly cools to the temperature below the melting point of the crystal, the macro molecule recrystallizes and the crystallinity is between 50% and 60%; when the melt is cooled rapidly by quenching, the crystallinity is small. The crystal structure of FEP Extrusion Pellet in the range of 40% to 50% is spherulite and varies with resin, molding temperature and heat treatment.

FEP Extrusion Pellet is still not completely hard and brittle at -250 ℃, and still has a very small elongation and a certain flexural flexibility, which is even better than PTFE.
