Fluorides have good chemical resistance, stable at high temperature and excellent dielectric properties. Although the price of fluoride materials is higher at present, it can be estimated that it is necessary to replace other materials in the future. Chinaundefineds fluorinated plastics molding processing industry began to develop in 1960undefineds, mainly used in national defense industry. In the late 1980s, because of strengthening the combination of military and civilian and popularizing the application, the forming and processing industry of fluorinated plastics developed rapidly. At present, China has basically mastered the main forming technology of fluorine plastics, such as molding, extrusion, rotary molding, blow molding, spraying and so on. Its products are widely used in various fields.
FEP has ideal dielectric loss angle tangent value and dielectric constant, little change in wide range of temperature and frequency, high volume resistivity and surface resistivity, high arc resistance of FEP, and no carbonation trace on the surface of FEP during arc discharge. The dielectric strength decreases with the increase of the thickness of the sample, but remains high enough in a large thickness range.
In the construction industry, fluorine resins are mainly used as structural materials, special ground construction materials, protective coatings (non-stick, corrosion resistant, weatherproof) in the form of films, coatings, reinforcement and composite materials. Non-combustible, etc., beautifying and decorating works and buildings, etc. The main building fluorine resin materials in use are: PTFE ,PVDF, FEP ,ETFE.
Tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropene copolymer (FEP) is less than polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in the temperature range of 200 ℃, and it has almost all the advantages of PTFE. The most outstanding advantage is that it can be processed by traditional thermoplastic method.
