The crystalline structure of FEP is between 30 and 555.The crystalline structure of FEP is not sensitive to the forming conditions, especially to the cooling rate. At the processing temperature, the real flowing melt can be obtained. Therefore, the low-temperature stable structure of its products is generally no porosity. FEP is shown in figure
The molding process of FEP resin is basically the same as that of general plastics such as PVC, PE, etc. There are two main differences:
1. The polyfluoroethylene propylene (FEP) has a higher melting point, a higher molding temperature and a melt resin. Corrosion to metals, so contact with molten resin parts need to be made of corrosion resistant alloy.
2. The melt viscosity of perfluoroethylene propylene (FEP) is 103-104 Pa / s, which is 10-100 times higher than that of thermoplastic plastics. However, the critical shear rate is much lower than that of conventional thermoplastic resins. Therefore, the molding conditions suitable for the physical properties of the resin must be used for processing.
