Us Anti-dumping On PTFE Resin Concerning China

        On May 1, 2018, the Commerce Department announced an anti-dumping decision on the import of polytetrafluoroethylene resin (PTFE Resin) from China and India. Preliminary ruling:

1) Daikin Fluorochemicals China Ltd. Dumping rate is 84.75%

2) Shandong Dongyue Polymer Material Co., Ltd. Dumping rate of 69.34%

3)  Hangzhou Jingzhou Fine Fluorotech Co., Ltd.

And Shanghai Huayi 3f New Materials Sales Co., Ltd. With a separate tax rate of 78.74 percent, the dumping rate of other Chinese companies involved was 208.16.) the dumping rate of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited, the only compulsory respondent in India, as well as that of other Indian producers / exporters, was 18.49. The Commerce Department is expected to make a final anti-dumping ruling on Chinese and Indian products in September 2018. The case concerned products under the United States Harmonized tariff codes 3904.61.0010 and 3904.61.0090 and some products under the tax code 3904.69.5000.

On September 28, 2017, The Chemours Company FC LLC filed an application on behalf of the US domestic industry with the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission. The U.S. Commerce Department issued a notice on October 19, 2017, saying that a double-counter investigation was launched against the imported PTFE resin from India. An anti-dumping investigation was initiated against the imported polytetrafluoroethylene resin from China. U.S. imports of Chinese and Indian polytetrafluoroethylene resins in 2016 were about $24.6 million and $14.3 million, respectively, according to U.S. statistics.
