The Price Of Polytetrafluoroethylene Soared
- May 17, 2018 -

According to the business monitoring data, the price of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) rose from 56 thousand yuan / ton in August 2010 to 155 thousand yuan / ton in May 2011. Analysts say the giant [32.10 -1.11% shares of listed companies and three Ai Fu [36.43 2.53% shares will benefit from the increase in product prices.

Tetrafluoroethylene mainly comes from the thermal decomposition of two fluoromethyl chloride (R22). Starting in the second half of 2010, the production of R22 was not affected by the capacity of foreign refrigerant R22 and the shutting down of devices. Another major use of tetrafluoroethylene is the production of five fluoroethane (R125), and the increase in demand for R125 also drives the demand for tetrafluoroethylene.

In addition, the Japanese earthquake caused polytetrafluoroethylene global effective production capacity to cut 1.5-2.5 million tons. Tetrafluoroethylene in the production process is very risky, and the hidden danger is very large. The explosion of tetrafluoroethylene in the process of polymerization or distillation is almost every year. The continuous maintenance of tetrafluoroethylene plant also aggravates the tension of the supply of polytetrafluoroethylene.

CICC analysts expect that Teflon boom is expected to last for 1-2 years. However, Wang Xiaoman, a business analyst, said that the trend of PTFE supply will gradually change. According to incomplete statistics, this year tetrafluoroethylene will add 30% to 40% of the production capacity, if the production capacity is completely released, it is bound to have a certain impact on the upward trend of polytetrafluoroethylene.

According to China Gold analysts, the earnings per share of the giant stock in 2011 are 1.85 yuan per share, of which the contribution of polytetrafluoroethylene is 0.37 yuan, and the earnings per share of three Ai Fu in 2011 is 1.9 yuan, of which the contribution of polytetrafluoroethylene is 0.72 yuan.
